What I do…

Web development, sales, marketing, and business development experience have lead me the current position of Manager of eBusiness Strategy.

We are engaged in a Web analytics and usability testing/engineering program at my company. It is my job to find areas of our Web assets that are causing confusion and revenue leaks through carefully analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data.

Eventually I hope to be able to tie together financial data along with the qualitative and quantitative data to make predictions (forecasting) of Web site performance. Along with that I plan on calculating marketing costs per new customer gained to help us better plan the most profitable marketing initiatives. We will also be able to better understand internal rates of return (IRR) for various Web projects that are requested.

For our customers I intend to use data to build a better user experience for them which will help the company with  retention and satisfaction which in turn will save money in the long run.

Through better understanding how people buy (and search) for products and services through various data feeds we can better tune/throttle our Web sites for peak performance and profitability; and improve search engine optimization and online advertising campaigns.

All of these initiatives will give us competitive advantage in our industry.

I’m also a member of the Usability Professionals’ Association: Boston Chapter.
